THOMAS M. HARTWIG is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York. His legal practice focuses on healthcare issues and the liability of healthcare professionals, general liability litigation and insurance coverage matters. His practice is statewide and he has appeared in virtually every state venue in Florida, as well as appearing in various administrative proceedings. Mr. Hartwig has extensive experience in defending physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacists, home healthcare agencies, outpatient surgery centers, health maintenance organizations, dentists and radiology facilities. In addition, Mr. Hartwig has represented physicians in administrative proceedings before the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Currently, much of his practice is dedicated to medical malpractice and managed care defense. His professional and general liability experience involves the defense of attorneys and architects. Mr. Hartwig also works extensively in the firm’s Insurance Defense Division. He is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.
