McIntosh, the  firm’s Construction Defect Division is well-positioned to defend a variety of construction-related claims. We are also able to provide guidance in areas such as Florida's Construction Lien Law, pursuant to Florida Statute Chapter 713, as well as construction defect and delay claims, Chapter 558 notices, catastrophic damages claims and more.

  • A pool contractor in a $500,000 property damage claim following a collapsed sea wall.
  • A general contractor in a $3,000,000 construction defect claim involving a mid-rise condominium project.
  • A developer in a wrongful death case involving a collapsed concrete forming shell.
  • A general contractor in a wrongful death and personal injury case involving allegations of an unsafe work site and OSHA violations.
  • Crane owners and operators in catastrophic death and injury claims.
  • Insurance, oversight and detailed coverage analyses of multiple-claimant and multiple-defendant construction defect or faulty workmanship claims, under primary and excess/umbrella, OCIP, CCIP or other insurance coverage plans.
  • The owner of a national restaurant chain in a $1,000,000 suit brought by a general contractor for additional compensation under construction contracts for the erection of two restaurants by obtaining a verdict exonerating the owner from any liability and awarding attorneys’ fees and costs.
